A 6-year-old girl and a 51-year-old woman were killed in a head-on collision between a white pickup truck and white minivan on Sept. 11 in Mount Washington, police said.
The driver of the pickup truck, Colleen Broglia, 39, was arrested Saturday for allegedly driving under the influence of narcotics and is expected to be charged with murder, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Jeff Siggers of the Central Traffic Division.
Broglia was driving south on Figueroa Street near Avenue 41 at about 10 p.m. when she crossed to the wrong side of the road and collided with the minivan, said LAPD Sgt. Egon Keil.
Maria Luisa Dominguez, 51, a passenger in the rear of the minivan died at the scene; 6-year-old Angela Giron was critically injured in the minivan and died at a hospital, police said.Posted - Copyright © 2022 Eastern Group Publications, Inc.
