Man Stabbed in Boyle Heights Parking Lot

(CNS)––A man was stabbed in the abdomen in a Boyle Heights parking lot after a verbal dispute with another man, a police officer said Monday.

It happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday at First and Lorena streets, said Officer Frank Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Station.

“The victim received one puncture wound to the abdomen with a knife and the suspect is in custody,” Lopez said.

The victim had stable vital signs after being taken to USC Medical Center, he said.

Both the victim and the suspect were about 19 years old, Lopez said.

The suspect would be booked for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, he said.
