The U.S. women’s national soccer team will face Mexico at StubHub Center May 17 in its next-to-last game before the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The game will be the U.S. national team’s first in Los Angeles County since Sept. 16, 2012, when it defeated Australia, 2-1, at StubHub Center before a crowd announced at 19,851.
Ticket information will be announced later.
The U.S. is 30-1-1 against Mexico, including a 3-0 mark in 2014, outscoring Mexico, 15-0.
The U.S. is second in the rankings compiled by FIFA, soccer’s worldwide governing body. Mexico is 25th.
The game is part of a three-game Send-Off Series announced Monday by U.S. Soccer, which also consists of a May 10 game against Ireland in San Jose and May 30 game against South Korea in Harrison, New Jersey.Posted - Copyright © 2022 Eastern Group Publications, Inc.
