2-4:30pm – End of Summer Pool Party at Monterey Park Barnes Park. Grab a towel and pick out a swimsuit for a pool party to say goodbye to summer. Refreshments will be served. Open to all ages. 6-7:30pm–Metro’s 710 Project Community Discussion at East Los Angeles Library. LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis will host a panel discussion and Q & A with health experts on the health-related issues in the project’s Environmental Impact Report (EIR). 7pm—Book Discussion & Signing” The Chicano Generation: Tetemonios of the Movement at Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena. Author Mario T. Garcia in conversation with Chicano activists Raul Ruiz.
